About Our Club
Wailua Outrigger Canoe Club is located on the South Thompson River in beautiful Kamloops, B.C. Canada. Embracing the Hawaiian spirits Wailua stands for the meeting of waters, fitting for endurance oriented paddling on the South and North Thompson Rivers. The club compound is located in Pioneer Park near the boat launch. Wailua Outrigger Canoe Club also offers a division on the Shuswap lake in Blind Bay.
Outrigger paddling is a popular fitness activity and provides the opportunity to build strength and endurance over time while enjoying being on the water and in the outdoors. If you enjoy endurance fitness or competitive water sports in the outdoors this club has something to offer! Our goal is to have people enjoy the water, spirit of competition and camaraderie that surrounds all disciplines of paddling.
